...to my office plant.
I was so happy to leave the office for the 4th of July long-weekend that I neglected to water my already saggy plant. So it's no wonder that I came in today and faced this half-dead weed.
But the worst part is, I didn't even water it this morning (just kept forgetting) UNTIL my co-worker came in and gasped in horror, grabbed a nearby water bottle, and doused it quickly as if it were on fire.
I hope this is not an indication that I'll be one of those parents who forget to feed their kids--didn't I feed you yesterday?

that is a sad looking plant...a victim of what looks like chronic neglect. I'm sure you'll fare better with a live baby...but if you forget to feed him once in a while, don't feel bad...2/3 of American children are overweight or obese!
Lol, I wonder what's worse. Starving your kid, or feeding him McDonald's?
Michael's convinced I'm going to forget our kid in the car on a hot day!
ha! you should be the one who worries! Michael used to leave me at school alllll the time when I was in kindergarden and first grade. he was supposed to pick me up on his way walking home from junior high. i can't tell you how many times i was left waiting in front of my elementary school until 5pm (i got out at 3pm) when i finally realized he wasn't coming. Then my 5-6 year old self would walk home alone and find Michael playing computer games...maybe I should have told you this story before you got preggers?? O.O
OMG, that's horrible! Wow, if I had known THAT...
