The Adventures of Bland Betty

My big adventure for today was getting a book from the library. Don't all fall out of your chairs at once.

“Exciting” highlights:
1. It was so cold I had to resort to my scarf-as-a-face-mask routine. Factoring in windchill it was seven degrees out today!
2. I traversed winding tunnels and scanned rows of books before spotting mine.
3. The book was the last copy left!
4. Oh, who am I kidding, none of these highlights are really exciting.

But even bland heroines deserve a comic strip of their own:

Hey - I love this post :-) Let me guess - your camera-happy husband provided the graphics for this comic strip...

well, I think I should point out that Bland Betty is a 'graphic novel,' not a - what do you call it? - "comic strip."

no, unfortunately I've got conlaw NEXT semester - but we had some con law stuff on my child/fam/state exam today. Turtle wasn't very helpful, but he was a good lap warmer. ;-)

gee you already have nine comments--FIVE of which are mine. Why don't I just add one more.

Glad you enjoyed the sugar high; I really enjoyed seeing you too. :)

As for Uncle K - yep that's Uncle Kirk...just like you're Uncle Cov and Tim's Uncle Sid. Well...I guess Uncle Cov sounds kinda strange. Uncle Burl? Uncle CovBurl? Yikes. Okay...maybe that won't work for you.

no nepotism, though.

I'll post pics of my snowflakes - you gotta see them at night--they're even cooler then!
